Beware of Cain & Abel (Software)

+

You might be wondering who/what is Cain. To the world Cain is simply a "password recovery tool" but this software is one wicked software that can hack and I've used it before (only Testing). We won't disclose details of the software and where to download.

Some time ago i discussed this software with some of my hacking friends and they now use it on a steady and only yesterday I discovered they were using it to sniff usernames and passwords + poison a network of I.P's  in the hostel wireless network. Cain Sniffs can be done anywhere, so far there's a computer network.

Cain Sniffs can be countered with this simple technique.

First detect if there is a man in the middle (a Computer that sniffs).
One way you can do this is try to log into Top Websites i.e (www.yahoo.com, www.facebook.com). Try to login from the sign-in/login page.

And if you receive a message similar to the image below i.e telling you the network is insecure, this means that someone is sniffing.

Note: Not all sites return this message (Telling you the Connection is Untrusted). only top websites in which to login requires a complex process of validation.

Now you know someone's sniffing, you protect yourself by not logging into any site.. i.e your school website, company's site, the admin module of any site you control e.t.c. unless your credentials might end up in the wrong hands. Click to View

So next time you're about to register, fill, edit, login with your credentials online via a computer network, first check if there is a hacker sniffing. If there's one, don't login to anysite unless your account would be hacked..

*Stay safe online and keep this secret*
