Why Blogger Is Better Than Wordpress For Blogging [Opinion]

Readers I'm back, I haven't posted for close to a year because of studies and I'm grateful to the Almighty for seeing us through in Grand Style.

Blogger and Wordpress are the household names when it comes to blogging. My friends often ask me which is better Blogger or Wordpress? and I'd have to share my insights based on experience with the two platforms. I've used both extensively and they have been forthcoming. So readers, here are the reasons why I prefer Blogger over Wordpress and would recommend it for blogging.

Personally these are the merits of Blogger over Wordpress.

1. Auto-Social Media Marketing Tool

When you publish a post on your blog, you have to rely on your social media marketing skills and third-party applications (e.g twitterfeed, IFTTT) to share your new post to the world. Blogger has an upperhand in this aspect, hereby allowing you to easily share posts to millions through your Google+ Profile, Circles, Followers, Gmail Contacts etc. together with your third-party applications. With this your posts gets to a wider audience with less stress.

2. Easier Domain Mapping

Comparing the two platforms Blogger offers a free domain mapping service while Wordpress does not. The last time I checked Wordpress Domain Mapping is paid annually. Even though its cheap, I would prefer it to be free just like Blogger.

3. Google Products

Blogger is one of Google's many products. Google has made life easier by making all its awesome products integrate with your blog easily. These products encompass Google Drive, Picasa, Gmail, Google+, Adsense, Webmaster Tools, Google Analytics etc. While with Wordpress, you can only have easy access to these resources after you have installed the appropriate plugins, then autheticate and continually update or upgrade them for similar services.

Wordpress is also a great blogging tool and  I use it in website development. Its merits over Blogger is mouthful, but personally I would recommend Blogger to be used run blogs instead of Wordpress. This is just my opinion because all blogging tools have their strengths & tradeoffs, so I urge you to stick with or switch to Blogger when it comes to blogging.

Its Your Turn
